The Power of Parsley Tea

Just in time for summer! A potential plan to have you de-bloating and slimming down in a matter of days. But, does it really work!?

I’ve heard that celebs often turn to parsley tea to slim down, especially before a big event. Why? Parsley acts as a diuretic, extracting excess water from the body, leaving you feeling thin and svelte. And since that’s how I ALWAYS want to feel… I loaded up at the Farmers Market with hopes of sipping myself to a smaller size… by the weekend.

Before I started brewing though, I began exploring the powerful properties of parsley.

-Boasts Vitamin A, C, K

-Aids in digestion

-Rich in flavonoids and antioxidants

-Packed with essential nutrients like magnesium, calcium and potassium.

-Reduces inflammation

-Detoxifier, known to cleanse the liver

-Known cancer fighter and immune strengthener

-Helps combat cellulite and menstrual pains

And the list goes on…

It’s been used to fight the formation of tumors, manage diabetes, even cure arthritis…  very potent stuff!

But, I’m very vain and SOLELY invested for the weight loss, so let’s get to the business at hand shall we?

All you need is one bunch of parsley, 32 ounces of water and a pitcher.

Boil 1 qt. of water (32oz)

Once water is boiling, turn off the stove and add 1 bunch of parsley to the water, then cover it.

Let it sit 5 to 10 min. Then strain the tea into a container, taking out all the leaves.parsley-tea-3

You’ll want to drink it on an empty stomach, hot or cold, first thing in the morning. Then continue sipping on it throughout the day, about 1/4 cup at a time, 3x a day.

I’ve also read to do it 3 to 5 days to see actual weight loss, but I did it for two days and that was enough for me.

Additionally, I’ve even been adding two parsley sprigs to my daily lemon water. (I drink minimum 2 liters everyday, filling this thing up twice. It’s an easy way to get your water down!)

You can either chop it up or rub the leaves to awaken the herb, then add it to your water… really good stuff.

So, the verdict? Absolutely worth a try!

I love drinking tea throughout the day, and this is a homemade brew you’ll feel good about.

I felt leaner in my abdomen for sure and face (areas where I tend to store water weight), and if you are also eating right you’ll likely lose weight.

Plus, parsley is so incredibly good for you, it’s worth getting more of it into your diet, any way you can.
