Birch Sap

Looking for an easy way to cleanse and give your health a boost? Look no further than Birch Sap (also known as “birch water” or “birch tree sap”). I’ve been reading up on this lately and just recently started incorporating it into my morning routine.

What exactly is it? It’s the liquid extracted from birch trees. It’s slightly sweet in flavor and loaded with proteins, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. It’s know for restorative benefits as well as detoxifying properties. It can help boost immunity, fight fatigue, treat arthritis and joint pain … a total body healer.

I started looking into it for its detoxifying benefits. If toxins from your liver and kidneys are removed, your body is able to function at an optimal level. Toxins creep into our system in so many ways, from environmentally to things we consume. Birch sap is know to flush out excess water and toxins, in return giving off some beauty benefits, most notably: improved skin-protects skin cells and rejuvenates skin, and cellulite reducer-its diuretic properties help flush out toxins, uric acid and excess water which helps reduce the appearance of cellulite… allegedly.

Not all the claims have been scientifically proven, but such is the case with a lot of health food products. It’s all about how you feel and how something impacts you personally.

I’ve been taking 2 ml (4 teaspoons) every morning on an empty stomach. The bottle recommends taking it before meals. I’ve read you can also use it as a 3-day detox by drinking 1/4 cup a day on an empty stomach for instant health benefits. I’m starting small however, and will see where that gets me. Lots of options no less.

Birch sap for beauty?! Why not!
