Almond Butter Yogurt Dip

Want your kids to eat their fruits and vegetables? Let them take a dip!

Research shows that kids are more likely to eat both food groups if they have a sauce to dip it in.

The problem with a lot of dips? They’re packed with additives, sugar and chemicals. Essentially, you’re taking a vibrant food and turning it into a toxic treat with an unhealthy dip.

Not with this dip hunnie! My sister actually gave me the idea for it. She does a similar dip for her kids, so I decided to try a version for myself, but per the usual, slip in some extra nutrients.

I used calcium-filled Greek yogurt; a heart healthy, protein-filled almond butter; a splash of mineral-rich grade B maple syrup for some sweetness; and finished it off with some infection-fighting cinnamon for a dash of flavor.

The result… a sweet, filling, healthy dip that pairs beautifully with fruits and a few veggies like celery and cucumbers.

You simply take a plain, wholesome greek yogurt (I only had strawberry yogurt when I made this batch, hence the pic. It’s good, but plain is best).

Add in your almond butter, syrup and cinnamon. You can add as much or as little almond butter as you’d like. It’s all a matter of how thick or how creamy you want your dip. Mix well!

This dip is then ready to be served immediately, or you can store it in the fridge in a sealed container and it will last for several days.

This wholesome dip is the perfect balance of sweet and tart and tastes so great with apples, strawberries, bananas… you name it!

It’s an easy way to get the kids on board with eating their fruits and veggies. It’s also a great dip to serve at gatherings as well. The kids like it, adults like it, but don’t take my word for it… try it!
